The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP)

TISP was created shortly after September 11, 2001 by professional and technical organizations to minimize the effects of terrorism and natural disasters on the United States. TISP members, representing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance communities; local, state, and federal agencies; academe; and other organizations concerned about disaster preparedness, work together to develop and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance the resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure by leveraging their collective resources, experience, technical expertise, research and development capabilities, and knowledge of public policy regarding natural and man-made disasters. ASHRAE serves on the TISP steering committee and has taken the lead on coordinating the development of standards and codes relevant to the security of the built environment.
