The Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC) provides efficient and effective transfer of current and relevant information throughout the HVAC&R industry to and from the chapters. CTTC develops and maintains high quality and readily available tools to enable chapters to offer information and attractive industry-related information and programs to all segments within the HVAC&R industry. CTTC reports to the Members Council.

Technical Committees and Task Groups are established and maintained as the tools for progressing specific technical initiatives of society. More information can be found by searching the TC section of this site.

To be effective, TCs encourage the active participation of members from a broad range of industry perspectives and affiliations. Interested members can contact their chapter CTTC Chair, any member of the Society CTTC listed on this Web page, or the TC Chair directly.

Standards

ASHRAE writes standards and guidelines in its fields of expertise to guide industry in the delivery of goods and services to the public. ASHRAE has nearly 90 active standards and guideline project committees, addressing such broad areas as indoor air quality, thermal comfort, energy conservation in buildings, reducing refrigerant emissions, and the designation and safety classification of refrigerants. ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer Program

The ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturers Program began in Society year 1996-97. The purpose of the program is to provide ASHRAE chapters with lecturers equipped to speak on relevant subjects of interest to ASHRAE members and guests. The program provides local ASHRAE chapters, student branches, neighboring universities and colleges, and other organizations the opportunity to collaborate and hear outstanding speakers on the leading edge of technology.

ASHRAE Speakers’ Bureau

A resource for Program Chairs to find Speakers for Chapter and Regional CRC Meetings. Includes Distinguished Lectures and Non-DL Speakers. Sponsored by the ASHRAE College of Fellows and CTTC.

Presidential Award of Excellence (PAOE)

Chapter support includes administration of the Presidential Award of Excellence (PAOE). PAOE is the mechanism ASHRAE has developed to recognize and reward individuals that perform activities that support ASHRAE initiatives. Specific initiatives and recognition criteria are established by the incumbent society president.
