The countdown for the meeting is on and you’ll need the latest information on events and all that the meeting has to offer. Make the most of the meeting and make plans to see Salt Lake with ASHRAE.

See The Depot At The Welcome Party
 Saturday, June 21 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Enjoy great food and fellowship at the Welcome Party, which takes place at The Depot, a unique location in the Union Pacific Station. The Depot is a three block walk from the Marriott or you can ride via the free light rail. When the party is over you can stay at The Depot in one of their comfortable lounge areas or stroll through The Gateway’s shops or just sit and enjoy the Olympic Legacy Plaza featuring the "dancing waters" of the Olympic Snowflake Fountain that is overlooked by a classic clock tower.  Casual attire. See the menu here. Please note: Due to Utah liquor laws, children under the age of 21 will not be allowed entrance into The Depot. If you have purchased a ticket for someone under 21, request a refund before the June 6 refund deadline.

 

Kurt Bestor Plays At Member’s Night Out
 Tuesday, June 24 6:15–10:30 p.m.

Spend the evening with a local favorite at Member's Night Out held at the Marriott Salt Lake. For more than a decade, Kurt Bestor’s film scores, television themes, compositions and carols have provided soundtracks for American life. His credits include more than 30 film scores and more than 40 themes for TV programs and commercials. It is Bestor’s music that has introduced Good Morning America, NFL Monday Night Football, and ABC’s Sunday Night Movie; he scored TBS’s Wild! Life Adventures and the IMAX film “Great American West.” He also was given the Outstanding Film Score Award at the New York Film and Television Festival for his music for PBS’s “A More Perfect Union.” Bestor was awarded an Emmy for his collaboration with Sam Cardon on the original music for ABC’s coverage of the 1988 Winter Olympics.

 

A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase for The Welcome Party and Member’s Night Out. Prices are $40 per ticket before May 23 and $42 after this date. Pre-purchase of tickets is encouraged for social events and tours. Purchase these by May 23 to guarantee availability.
