 To earn the certification: - Please read the HFDP Candidate Guidebook (revised 02/01/08). The Guidebook contains important information related to the examination, eligibility requirements, and available resources for the HFDP program.
- Then complete the HFDP Application Form.
- After ASHRAE approves the application, you will receive information about how to register for the HFDP examination. After receiving official approval of your application from ASHRAE, you have 90 days to register and take the exam. Failure to register and take the exam within 90 days will result in forfeiture of your application and payment. In the U.S., most testing centers are in H&R Block offices.
