Help ASHRAE spread the word

ASHRAE is spreading the word about what our members are doing in the industry, and we need you to share the good news.

Our new member DVD features testimonials from your colleagues who have a lot to say about ASHRAE, including our role as leaders of a critical industry, the pace setters, the standard bearers. I hope you will find this message inspiring as you meet and come into contact with potential members of our society.

Your promotional package also includes membership applications that you can use in your recruiting efforts and some additional information you can read over and share.

Here are some tips on how you can best use the video:

• Arrange to show the video at your next chapter meeting.
  At just under nine minutes, this video will give your attendees, members and non members, a chance to see what the society is doing and can do with their help.
  
• Send your colleagues a link to the video.
  The messages in the video, including “I Am ASHRAE” and “Join ASHRAE” speak to the viewer in several different languages, which reiterates our global participation.
  
• At your visit to meet a potential member, ask if you can play the video on your laptop.
  Hearing about ASHRAE and our efforts in this format may be just what your colleague wants and needs to hear before they take that next step to join.

And most importantly, follow up and invite them to join.

I hope that this DVD helps motivate you to tell the ASHRAE story to your peers and helps promote that we need members, professionals like them, in the society in order to continue our good work.
