September 2010Glass doors on supermarket refrigerated display cases don’t appear to affect beer or dairy sales, which is big news to an industry that’s been reluctant to enclose their refrigerated cases for fear of loss in impulse sales. The ASHRAE research project (1402-RP) compared the sales and energy of display cases of two grocery stores before and after enclosure.
