Looking to get more involved with ASHRAE? Become a volunteer. A new page outlining all volunteer opportunities with ASHRAE is now available. Members can visit www.ashrae.org/volunteer to learn how they can get more involved in influencing the direction of ASHRAE and the industry. “ASHRAE has thousands of members, but the ones we value most are those who become part of our ASHRAE volunteer family—the ones who invest their time and talent into advancing ASHRAE technology,” said Andrew Persily, chair of the Planning Committee, which is seeking to encourage volunteerism. “These are the people who will build ASHRAE into a stronger, more viable, more innovative organization in the future. We hope that by making it easier to learn about the volunteer opportunities available, we add more members to our ASHRAE volunteer family.” The page outlines opportunities ranging from chapter to Society level committees, commenting on proposed standards and writing for ASHRAE publications.
