The New Orleans Chapter recently hosted a Distinguished Lecturer seminar titled Mechanical Design in Sustainable Buildings. Distinguished Lecturer Dr. Thomas Lawrence, P.E., Member ASHRAE, associate professor, University of Georgia, provided an overview of trends and design features within sustainable buildings, the ASHRAE GreenGuide and proposed ASHRAE Standard 189P, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.
