CALGARY, AB, Canada—The Southern Alberta Chapter celebrated its 50th Anniversary and Past Presidents Night on Oct. 19, 2007, with a gala dinner. The celebration was attended by four chapter charter members and 22 past presidents. Special guests included ASHRAE president-elect Bill Harrison, Region XI DRC Traci Hanegan and Region XI historian Ivan Hall. Chapter Historian Bill Holmes gave a presentation on the history and possible future of the chapter. Past President Wayne Keenan emceed the event and kept everyone entertained, performing one of his infamous musical renditions. The chapter reported it is healthy, vibrant and looking forward to challenges of the next 50 years.
