NEW YORK—A record 740 people listen as ASHRAE President Kent Peterson (right) gives his State-of-the-Society address on Jan. 21 during the Presidential Luncheon at the ASHRAE Winter Meeting. Peterson reported on the many activities ASHRAE has launched that improve the global built environment while reducing its impact on the natural environment. “I can report today that sustainability principles have been woven into the very fabric of ASHRAE,” he told attendees. His complete remarks can be read at www.ashrae.org/peterson. Also available is a new video on how to achieve net-zero-energy buildings. The video was presented for the first time at the luncheon. | |
