GAINESVILLE, Fla.—As part of the launch of ASHRAE’s High Performing Buildings magazine, plaques were presented to building owners of buildings featured in the publication. These plaques are intended to hang in the buildings’ lobbies, recognizing the owners’ commitment to sustainability and as part of outreach to the general public, making it more aware of sustainability and of the Society. Shown is Ross Montgomery (left), Region XII director and regional chair, presenting a plaque to Abdol Chini, director and professor of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker Sr.  School of Building Construction, Gainesville, Fla., which was featured in the first issue of the magazine.
