ASHRAE is looking for contribution from industry experts as it develops a book on cleanroom design. ASHRAE Cleanroom Design Guide is being written by the Society’s technical committee (TC 9.11), Clean Spaces. The committee is seeking cleanroom industry experts to contribute or to review the manuscript during the book development process. “While several cleanroom design resources exist, this design guide will serve as a technical and practical tool book that is more comprehensive, more engineered-based and reflects the current state-of-the-art technologies and standards, including modern cleanroom facilities, equipment, fabrication and processing,” said Wei Sun, chair of TC 9.11. The guide will cover particulate, molecular and microbial contamination fundamentals; design and environmental control systems; testing, certification, commissioning and qualification; operations; and cleanrooms in a variety of industries, including semiconductor and microelectronic facilities, pharmaceutical and medical device facilities, healthcare and bio-tech facilities, and aerospace, optional, automotive and food processing industries. Those interested should contact Wei Sun at wsun@engsysco.com. For more information about the book’s contents, visit www.ashrae.org/tc911. | |
