    Even though the live portion of the 2020 ASHRAE Virtual Conference has passed, the entire virtual experience is still available for purchase with access to all content until December 31, 2021. Available content includes:

    • On-Demand viewing of 20 sessions presented live including leadership moments, featured technical sessions and virtual happy hours.
    • 80+ on-demand seminars and paper sessions including recorded presentations, audio files and slides.  The program is accepted for many jurisdictions' continuing education requirements and most sessions are approved for LEED AP credits and AIA learning units. Quizzes are available for most sessions

    The 2020 ASHRAE Virtual Conference is the Technology Answer for Today’s Challenges.  The technical program format features an in-depth learning experience, providing solutions, technology demonstrations and industry insights.

    The technical program explores how building and energy systems interact, while examining how buildings are becoming integrated, flexible and resilient systems to respond to climate change challenges.

    "The traditional tech-heavy and diverse topics of the onsite technical program are maintained and enhanced by interactive elements and sessions suited for the virtual environment and a worldwide audience," said Bing Liu, conference chair. The virtual conference featured several live sessions, now available to watch on-demand, to highlight hot topics and COVID-19 related topics as well. Industry professionals have a wide-range of on-demand choices of sessions to select from in tracks on resiliency, zero energy buildings, residential, the grid, fundamentals, equipment and professional development."

    ASHRAE will conduct the business and technical meetings typically held during the ASHRAE Annual Conference in an online format. Beginning in late May and running through the end of July, online meetings are scheduled for standing committees, councils, the Board of Directors, technical committees, standards project committees and others.

    Just like at ASHRAE’s face-to-face Annual Conference, attendance at committee meetings are open to all society members, to all registered guests at scheduled Society Conferences, and to those invited by the chairman at the request of a member. You are encouraged to attend any of these meetings in which you have a technical interest. 

    If you are interested in attending any of the meetings taking place this summer please email meetings@ashrae.org with the name, date and time of the meeting of interest no later than close of business the day before the meeting and information will be sent to you about how to join the online meeting.

    Why should I register for the virtual event now that the live sessions are over?
    Now more than ever, connecting and sharing solutions is important. ASHRAE is offering timely technical content and learning opportunities in an inexpensive and convenient format, in an effort to make sure all interested industry professionals have the opportunity to learn and connect with each other. Registration is still open! Register today and receive access to twenty sessions that were presented live now available to watch on-demand, over 80 seminars and paper sessions viewable on-demand and conference papers and other resources from the 2020 ASHRAE Virtual Conference. Content is available to access at your convenience through December 31, 2021.

    The 80+ on-demand seminars and paper sessions include recorded presentations, audio files and slides.  The program is accepted for many jurisdictions' continuing education requirements and most sessions are approved for LEED AP credits and AIA learning units. Quizzes are available for most sessions in the on-demand section of the Virtual Conference environment and for the seminars and workshop in the Theater section of the virtual environment.

    How do I access the technical program content?
    A link to log into the Virtual Conference environment will be sent in your registration confirmation email. Click the link and enter the email address you used to register for the Virtual Conference to access on-demand viewing of the sessions that were presented live, 80+ additional on-demand sessions, conference papers and other resources. You will have access to the virtual conference environment until December 31, 2021. .

    How do I get PDHs?
    PDHs will be available for most sessions by passing a short quiz at the end of each eligible session. Following the quiz a PDH certificate will be available for download.

    Do I have to be registered for the Virtual Conference to attend a committee meeting?
    No, registration is not required to attend a committee meeting virtually.

    How do I join a virtual committee meeting as a guest?
    If you wish to join a virtual committee meeting as a guest, please email meetings@ashrae.org no later than the close of business the day before the scheduled meeting with the name, date and time of the meeting you would like to join and information on how to access the meeting will be sent to you.

    Will there be a 2021 ASHRAE Annual Conference?
    Yes! The 2021 Annual Conference is scheduled for June 26-30, 2021 in Phoenix, AZ. Additional conferences can be found at ashrae.org/conferences.

    What if I have multiple employees from my company that want to register for the Virtual Conference?
    ASHRAE offers three tiers of Company packages that accommodate discounted pricing for up to 20 employees. If you have more than 20 employees that would like to attend the Virtual Conference, you can purchase multiple packages to maximize the savings! Contact meetings@ashrae.org if you have questions related to Company Packages and pricing.

    Do I have to be registered for the Virtual Conference to attend the Virtual Happy Hours?
    Yes! If you registered for the Virtual Conference, you may watch any of the Virtual Happy Hours that were presented during the live portion of the Virtual Conference.
