Pawel Wargocki, Ph.D.
Pawel Wargocki, Associate Professor at Technical University of Denmark, Vice-President for Policy in the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate. He received M.Sc. degree from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland (1990), and a Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Denmark (1998). Affiliated earlier with Warsaw University of Technology (1990-1994) and Aarhus University (1993), he was an invited guest researcher at the Universities in Tokyo (1995) and Singapore (2004). Mr. Wargocki is active internationally in ASHRAE and ISO Committees. His research has contributed significantly to the development of the indoor air sciences, among others through pioneering research on the effects of indoor air quality on the performance of office work and schoolwork. Carried out numerous laboratory and field experiments and has experience in numerous measurement techniques both as regards indoor environmental parameters as well as their effects on humans. He has the leadership experience from national and international research projects, as well as in organizing the international conferences (VP of Indoor Air 2008 Congress). Mr. Wargocki has published more than 100 papers (19 peer-reviewed), 4 chapters in books and co-edited 3 books. He received several awards for his research work.
