Short Course:
Understanding & Designing Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS)

Course Length: 3 hours

This course discusses DOAS and its current permutations, the parallel terminal systems available, DOAS equipment choices with psychrometrics, the design steps via an example, and DOAS automatic control design and operational issues in a campus building. The course also reviews the inherent problems with VAV systems, the energy savings potential of the top HVAC technologies and the engineering design score sheet for a DOAS project. The course addresses over 30 frequently asked questions and draws conclusions.

All of these offerings are available for Chapter and In-Company Programs. These offerings may also be periodically scheduled for the Winter and/or Annual Conference Education Programs, as well as the Online Seminar Series, which takes place during the Spring and Fall of each year.
