Renew Your CPMP Certification

 Announcement: 2017, 2018 & 2019 Renewal Classes

To ensure the continued validity and relevance of its Commissioning certification scheme, beginning with the 2017 class of renewals, ASHRAE’s Commissioning certification program will validate continuing competency against the Better Buildings Workforce Guidelines scheme requirements for the Building Commissioning Professional set forth by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Commercial Workforce Credentialing Council (CWCC), with the goal of achieving Department of Energy (DOE) recognition of services provided by these renewing certificants by the summer of 2017.  The National Institute of Building Sciences is the developer, publisher of and holder of copyright in the Guidelines.  CPMPs who renew against these scheme requirements will earn the ASHRAE Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP) designation.

The benefits for CPMPs of recertifying as a BCxP versus applying for the BCxP certification are a shorter exam and a lower application fee.  Also, CPMPs with 2018 and 2019 renewal dates who renew in 2017 will be able to recertify as a BCxP with a prorated number of PDHs and at a prorated application fee.  Learn More & Apply! >>
