Ronald J. Wilkinson, P.E., LEED AP, CPMP
Mr. Wilkinson is the Commissioning Authority at Wilkinson Commissioning Management in
Seattle, Washington where he commissions new and existing commercial, institutional and light industrial buildings. He also coordinates and updates all commissioning (Cx) standards and requirements for USGBC LEED, city, state and utility program requirements. Wilkinson checks plans and specs for Cx requirements and provides plan and spec checking for constructability, energy conservation and drafting standards. He authors and places articles in national publications for increased corporate exposure. He also lectures internationally and speaks locally to promote Cx practice in general. Wilkinson also develops proposals for Cx projects in sustainable building and mission critical market sectors.
Wilkinson is a Professional Engineer in Washington State, a LEED AP, and an ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP).
He has a BSMAE from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and a MPA from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
Ron has been an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer since 2002 and is serving on ASHRAE GPC 0.2 "Cx for Existing Buildings Systems Guideline Committee" and GPC 1.2 "Cx for Existing HVAC Systems Guideline Committee."
In addition to being a LEED AP, Wilkinson is also a USGBC LEED faculty and a USGBC LEED Commissioning Module author.
Mr. Wilkinson has served as an American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education Service Commissioning Education Provider, he was the founding Chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Commissioning Advisory Sub-Committee and was on the AIA Public Comment and Position Statement Working Group for the International Green Construction Code (IGCC).
He has also been a member at various times of BCA, HPAC, USGBC, ASME, NASFA, AIRAH, the National Institute of Building Science, and the International Living Future Institute.
