ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2010 marked an acceleration in the race to reduce energy usage in commercial buildings. More than three times the typical number of addenda were added to this edition, marking the largest change to the standard in a decade. These changes were targeted at a 30% reduction in energy use as compared to the 90.1-2004 requirements. This course provides an in-depth overview of the changes to the envelope, lighting and mechanical sections, using as a basis the new publication, Significant Changes to the International Energy Conservation Code and ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1.
