Course Description

Based on ASHRAE Standard 55, Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, this course covers the theory and principles of the standard. It is intended to bridge the gap between the design practitioner’s knowledge of the built environment and its thermal relationship to the occupant’s physiology and psychology. Using examples, the course illustrates how to achieve compliance with the standard for the purposes of satisfying the requirements of various building performance programs such as LEED®.

Cancellation Policy

Course registration fees will be refunded in full if cancellation is received by ASHRAE Customer Service at 800-527-4723 or edu@ashrae.org before 12:00 noon, seven working days prior to the course date. Cancellations received between three and seven working days prior to the course date are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Registrants who do not attend a course or cancel less than three working days prior to the course date are liable for the entire course registration fee. Registration fees can be transferred by contacting ASHRAE Customer Service at 800-527-4723 or edu@ashrae.org.
