ASHRAE is pleased to announce several upgrades to its online purchase platform. The ASHRAE Bookstore is launching several new features that will increase usability and value for those seeking to purchase or browse ASHRAE publications.
Secure PDFs and DRM
In an effort to make digital versions of ASHRAE products easier to use across multiple platforms while maintaining necessary copyright protection, the ASHRAE Bookstore, in partnership with Techstreet, announced it will no longer use the FileOpen plug-in to enforce digital rights management (DRM) that locks PDFs to a specific device.
The change simplifies access to ASHRAE product PDFs, which may now be used on mobile devices like iPads and Android tablets. Users with corporate or government security measures will also find the products easier and more accessible.
Products are now usable on any PDF-capable device, while expanded watermarking will still allow customers to protect their investment in ASHRAE products. Customers who wish to regain access to their purchased PDFs may visit the "My Downloads" page and re-assign documents in the ASHRAE Bookstore. Shop Now
Ever needed to see exactly what changed between a current ASHRAE Standard and its previous edition? Now you can.
ASHRAE has released dozens of standards as redline documents for sale online. Purchasers of the redline option will receive both the new version of the standard and the redline version in print or digital format.
Use redlines to:
- effortlessly implement changes to procedures, equipment and products
- save time and resources
- identify updates in seconds
ASHRAE's document preview option allows for potential customers to take a look inside ASHRAE publications at no additional charge.
Previews are first pages of the publication and often contain front matter, contents, and a portion of the first chapter. The preview option can be located just under the publication thumbnail on the product detail page.
Document preview is available on most ASHRAE publications. Shop now
