Norman Goldberg

85; Fellow Life Member; Staten Island, N.Y., 10304; joined ASHAE in 1949. He chaired ASHRAE forums on school design in 1966 and on air conditioning of industrial plants in 1972. He contributed chapters to the former ASHRAE Guide and Data Book and articles to ASHRAE Journal. He was active on technical committees and task groups. He received a Distinguished 50-Year Member Award in 1999.

 

Robert Francis Holland

56; Member; Dublin, 16, Ireland; joined ASHRAE in 1989.

 

Robert T. Lloyd

90; Life Member; Atlanta, Ga., 30340; joined ASHVE in 1948. He served as chair of the Admissions and Advancements Committee and a member of Members Council, the Membership Promotion Committee, the Meetings and Exposition Committee and the Atlanta Chapter Board of Governors. He was the general chair of the Society’s 1990 Winter Meeting in Atlanta. In 1993, he chaired a reunion of the Atlanta Chapter life members. He was a charter member of the North Carolina State Student Branch. In 1999, he visited the student branch and talked about his 50 years in the industry. He received a Distinguished 50-Year Member Award in 2004 and a Distinguished Service Award in 1999.

Peter A. Potvin

57; Member; Saint Paul, Minn., 55113; joined ASHRAE in 1983. He served as president of the Minnesota Chapter in 1994-95 and held many other chapter positions.

 

James. B. (Burt) Rishel
93; Fellow Life Member; Cincinnati, Ohio, 452411; joined ASRE in 1950. His service has included chair of the central plant subcommittee on TC 9.1, Large Building Air-Conditioning Systems; a member of TC 6.1, Hydronic and Steam Equipment and Systems, TC 8.10 Mechanical Dehumidification Equipment and Heat Pipes , and Guideline 22 committee, Instrumentation for Monitoring Central Chilled Water Plant Efficiency . In 1956-57, he served as president of ASRE’s Dayton Chapter. He was a frequent contributing author to ASHRAE Journal. Rishel received a Distinguished Service Award in 1998. 

        

William Rutherford

65; Life Member; London, Ontario, N6P 1R2, Canada; joined ASHRAE in 1973.

 

Donald A. Siller

72; Life Member; O Fallon, Mo., 63368; joined ASHRAE in 1978. Siller’s service has included chair of the Refrigeration Committee, the 2001-02 Ammonia Position Document Committee, the ASHRAE Refrigerant Management Program Exploratory Ad Hoc Committee, TC 10.1 Custom Engineered Refrigeration Systems , TC 10.3, Refrigerant Piping, and TC 10.8 Refrigeration Load Calculations; a member of Technology Council, TC 10.2 Automatic Icemaking Plants and Skating Rinks, and TC 10.5 Refrigerated Distribution and Storage Facilities. He also served as president of the St. Louis Chapter in 1993-94 after holding several other positions. Siller received a Distinguished Service Award in 2013.
