Research Promotion Committee

Research Promotion Committee (RP)

The Research Promotion Committee (RP) plans and implements programs within the Society to generate funds to support ASHRAE research, ASHRAE Research Education (ALI), ASHRAE Foundation, and the General Fund. Beginning during the 2013-14 Campaign, the scope will be expanded to include society-held Scholarships. This committee reports to Members Council.  For additional information, please see: Research Promotion.

2014-15 RP Centralized Training will be held from on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 and Saturday from 7:30am - 3:00pm for the following regions on these dates:

  • Regions VIII, IX, X, XI will be held August 22nd – 23rd – Phoenix, AZ (Radisson Airport Hotel)
  • Regions IV, V, VI, VII will be held September 5th – 6th – Chicago O’Hare (Hilton connected to O’Hare Airport)
  • Regions I, II, III, XII will be held September 12th – 13th – Chicago O’Hare area (Hyatt Rosemont)

Friday’s Training will be broken into 2 tracks:  RP Campaign and Fundraising Basics for new RP Chairs  & Donor Stewardship & Advance Fundraising Theory for returning/experienced RP Chairs.

Dinner, provided by ASHRAE, begins at 7:00 on Friday dinner in the hotel restaurant

If you are unable to attend your Region’s assigned training, you are welcome to attend one of the others and the same transportation reimbursement rules apply.
