LibHuAirProp Add-In Demo
This is a limited demonstration version of the ASHRAE Library of Psychrometric, Thermodynamic, and Transport Properties for Real Humid Air, Steam, Water, and Ice (LibHuAirProp) add-in.
The full version of LibHuAirProp can be purchased from the ASHRAE Bookstore.
This demo includes three examples that are selectable from the EES menu bar:
- ASHRAE_HOF_MoistAirTable calculates Real Moist Air properties from 0°C to 80°C. You may optionally change the pressure or input different temperatures; e.g. 20°C to 25°C in 0.1°C increments
- enhancement_factor calculates a table of water vapour pressure enhancement factors from -100°C to 350°C at pressures from 10 to 10,000 kPa. Users may change the temperatures. A plot window displays factors at four total pressures
- LibHuAirProp_Statepoints_SI calculates 13 Real Moist Air Psychrometric properties when any three of the properties are entered in a Parametric Table row. It includes five sample rows and provides an additional five rows for your inputs. To Solve Runs 2-5: Select "Calculate" then "Solve Table" and then change the "Last Run Number" to 5.
Installation Instructions
- Download the compressed file.
- Unpack the contents to your computer.
- Double click the file setup.exe.
- Choose a location on your computer to install the files. In most cases, this will be the default path provided.
- Double click the LibHuAirProp_Demo icon on your desktop to open the program.
Uninstall Instructions
- Navigate to the Windows Control Panel.
- Under "Programs" click "Uninstall a program."
- Double click on “LibHuAirProp_Demo” and follow the instructions.

In 2009, ASHRAE replaced the 1983 ASHRAE-Hyland-Wexler real-moist-air numerical model with the research project RP-1485 LibHuAirProp real moist air model. The hw.exe program allows users to generate a table of 1983 Hyland-Wexler psychrometric properties, which may then be compared with the 2009 ASHRAE real moist air numerical psychrometric model.
Installation Instructions
- Download the compressed file.
- Unpack the contents to your computer.
- To open the program, double click HW.exe.
