Neither participating in a preparatory activity nor purchasing a publication is a requirement for participating in the BCxP program. The National Institute of Building Sciences, the developer, publisher of and holder of copyright in the certification scheme requirements, identifies the following standards and guidelines as “required,” in the sense that these guidelines and standards are foundational for the Building Commissioning Professional job.
