Take it one step further by introducing yourself as a representative of ASHRAE and begin explaining your stance.

TakeAction-80W.gifASHRAE’s bill tracker allows you to write or call your Congressional and State representatives. In addition, submit your comments about the bill and share it with your peers. Once you’ve made contact with your representative, create a strategy with your local ASHRAE Chapter members.

If your efforts gain traction, begin planning a “Day on the Hill.”

Public Policy Briefs

In an effort to translate ASHRAE’s positions and activities into easily understood and communicated concepts, the Government Affairs Office — with input from the Grassroots Government Advocacy Committee — has developed a series of policy briefs. These documents are intended for distribution to government officials and others with limited technical expertise.
