The Portugal Chapter is holding a technical session on 20 February 2020, on why it is important to promote the HVAC industry for a sustainable future.
Pam Duffy, P.E.
The speaker—Pam Duffy, P.E., an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer from Texas, USA—is well-known for bringing new HVAC products to life. The DL program makes ASHRAE members selected for their knowledge and presentation skills available to ASHRAE chapters for delivery of high-interest presentations.
She is an experienced product manager who has been responsible for strategic direction, product roadmaps, new product development, launches and sunsets, and ongoing product category support.
Duffy will talk about how the work HVAC engineers do every day plays a critical role in the future of our planet. Most importantly, she describes what engineers can do to generate more awareness of their contributions. Creating awareness will result in more qualified job candidates, faster product innovation, and better research. Her message is promoting the industry is good for business.
