Course Length: 1 hour
The goal of this course is to introduce microgrids and ultra-low-energy as tools for improving high-performance building outcomes. Decarbonization is often dependent upon the relationship of building load profiles to electric grid fuel choices. Resilience typically involves the ability of a building to survive grid disruptions. Microgrids and exceptionally low energy buildings can contribute to both resilience and decarbonization This course will introduce these two design tools and two potential design outcomes.
