Linda Rathke, ASHRAE Journal Managing Editor

Linda Rathke is a career journalist who came to ASHRAE after 17 years with CNN. In her last role, she led the team responsible for writing and producing the network’s scrolling newscast known as the CNN Ticker. As a lifelong learner and longtime leader, Linda believes the strongest teams are built on trust and fueled by curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Figuring ASHRAE’s vision of “a healthy and sustainable built environment for all” incorporated those elements, Linda’s move from the newsroom to the nonprofit world was a no-brainer. She has been ASHRAE Journal’s Managing Editor since June 2025.

Allison Hambrick, ASHRAE Journal Associate Editor

An avid comic book fan since the first time she read "Stan Lee's Soapbox," Allison Hambrick is Atlanta’s friendly neighborhood generalist writer. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Writing and Film in 2020. Allison has a varied background in the fields of journalism, healthcare, and entertainment, having previously worked for Disney and Warner Bros., before joining the ASHRAE Journal team as an associate editor and podcast producer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, video game design, travelling, and spending time outside with her dogs, Loki and Elphaba. Allison is fluent in movie quotes, and her favorite film is Superman II.

Rebecca Norris is the technical editor of ASHRAE Journal. She has worked at ASHRAE Journal since 2000, after leaving her first job out of college at CNN/Sports Illustrated. Since starting at ASHRAE, Rebecca has closed on over 300 issues of the Journal with impeccable accuracy and care. She loves everything baseball and reading.

Rebecca holds a degree in media communications and journalism from Asbury University.
