Course Description
Continuous updates of ASHRAE’s Standard 90.1 the Energy Standard for Buildings has been established as the commercial building reference standard for state building energy codes in a ruling by the U.S. and the Worldwide Departments of Energy. Design professionals, code officials and building owners must keep up with the new, more stringent requirements to comply with this quickly evolving standard.
ASHRAE offers a solution that engineers, architects, and others involved in the design and construction of commercial buildings can immediately put the standard to use as they work to update their building codes. To combat the stringiest building codes in the Middle East region, ASHRAE developed a course that provides techniques for improving building energy savings requirements.
The Standard 90.1: HVAC/Mechanical and Appendix G & Total System Performance Ratio, TSPR (MENA) course focuses on the major requirements of ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1, including incorporated addenda and updates. The course highlights the envelope, mechanical, HVAC, and lighting requirements in Appendix G and its new compliance path and performance rating method. Baseline building conditions and climate zone information on many cities in the MENA region will also be provided.
