John Castelvecchi is an experienced engineer with a history of working in engineering design, performance contracting, and equipment sales. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia and an ASHRAE certified Healthcare Facility Design Professional. Castelvecchi has experience in the design of hospitals, laboratories, and government office buildings. He is an active member of ASHRAE TC 7.9 Building Commissioning, TC 9.06 Healthcare Facilities, and TC 9.10 Laboratory Systems. He was on the committee that developed the original Guideline 0 – The Commissioning Process, and Guideline 1.1 – HVAC&R Technical Requirements for the Commissioning Process. He was also a co-author of the ASHRAE Laboratory Design Guide 2nd Edition. Castelvecchi is skilled in control systems design, energy modeling, and HVAC design. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a BSME and an MBA.
