Free Energy Guidance

To promote building energy efficiency, ASHRAE and its partners are making the Advanced Energy Design Guides available for free download (PDF). The guides offer designers and contractors the tools needed for achieving a 30% energy savings compared to buildings that meet the minimum requirements of Standard 90.1-1999 or 50% savings compared to buildings that meet the minimum requirements of Standard 90.1-2004.

Science and Technology for the Built Environment

ASHRAE’s archival research journal has a new name. Beginning January 2015, Science and Technology for the Built Environment, formerly HVAC&R Research, expands its scope to include papers in areas of science and technology for the built environment. In addition to traditional areas of research in HVAC&R, the journal's papers offer comprehensive reporting of original research to cover topics such as smart buildings, thermal comfort, aircraft ventilation, and automotive climate technology. Learn more >
