What is Centralized Training?
RP Centralized Training is a two-day training session for RP Chapter volunteers to:
- Learn about the RP Committee, campaign, and fundraising initiatives
- Acquire skills and tools they need to run a successful RP campaign
- Learn how to talk about RP to donors and potential donors
- Meet other RP volunteers from within and outside their own Regions
- Strategize with their RP RVC
- Learn best practices from experienced RP volunteers
What PAOE points or other incentives can we get for attending RP Centralized Training?
There are PAOE and financial incentives available for Chapter RP Chairs or Co-Chairs who attend both a Centralized Training session and their CRC RP session in the same campaign year. The same officer must attend both sessions to qualify. Please contact the RP staff for more information: rp@ashrae.org.
Can I get reimbursed for my transportation and hotel costs?
ASHRAE will reimburse transportation costs (mileage, airfare, etc.) for one RP volunteer per chapter, subject to ASHRAE policy. Flights must be booked no later than 14 days from the date of travel to qualify. Members are responsible for knowing and adhering to the policy and submitting their reimbursement forms in a timely manner. The form and policy details are here.
Hotel rooms are not reimbursable by Society. Contact your Chapter and Region BOG to find out if they offer reimbursement for this expense.
What is the schedule for Centralized Training?
Centralized Training commences on the first day at 4pm. The second day, the sessions begin by 8am and wrap up by 3pm. Meals are included.
