Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

ASHRAE Adds Two New Chapters, Two Sections

ASHRAE has added two new chapters and two new sections.

The two new ASHRAE chapters were created at the 2020 Winter Conference during the Members Council Meeting: Oman and Libya. The addition of these new chapters brings the total number of ASHRAE chapters to 197. The new chapters are part of the Region-at-Large.

Two new sections were also created during the meeting. ASHRAE Thailand is the host chapter of the new Vietnam section, and ASHRAE Nigeria is the host chapter of the new Ghana section. ASHRAE now has 38 sections.
