M. Dennis Knight is a consulting engineer with 4+ decades of experience in HVAC&R design, energy modeling, and building performance analysis for a wide range of building types. He has been deeply involved in ASHRAE leadership and technical activities, including service as an ASHRAE Presidential Member. He has contributed to the development and application of ASHRAE standards and handbooks that address energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization. His project and teaching experience spans new construction and existing building retrofits, with a focus on integrating rigorous simulation methods into practical design and operations decision-making for owners, design teams, and policy stakeholders.
