Some of the events and activities in SY22-23 are highlighted below:

Russell and his students shared their knowledge and skills to an international audience at the 2023 ASHRAE Winter Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The project was the top application of over 80 submissions in 2022 for the ASHRAE Undergraduate Research Equipment Grants. The project involved installing an 8-ton Mitsubishi Variable Refrigerant Flow system with two heads in the HVAC lab at Sinclair. The lab has been built up with the assistance of many ASHRAE grants Russell has been awarded over the years, and this was not the first time he was recognized as one of the top applicants in this process.

The students in the Sinclair College Student Branch have been extremely active in the Dayton area. They have held meetings where both industry professionals have presented to them and where they have presented their work.

Both Russell and the students have been very active in K-12 activities and have organized and participated in multiple open houses and STEM events throughout the year.
