Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

ASHRAE Creates New Chapters in Brazil, Israel

ASHRAE members in South America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia can now more easily connect with other members, thanks to new chapters and sections.

ASHRAE approved two new chapters—South Brazil and Israeli—and two new sections—Bolivia and Myanmar—at the 2019 Annual Conference in Kansas City. The Society now has 192 chapters and 38 sections.

The South Brazil chapter is based in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, and is part of Region XII. The Israeli chapter is located in Ramat Gan, Israel, in Region XIV.

The Bolivia section is located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and the ASHRAE Argentina Chapter is the host chapter. The ASHRAE Singapore Chapter is the host chapter for the new Myanmar section, based out of Yangon, Myanmar.
