Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

Join the Thermal Distribution Systems Design, Seasonal Efficiencies SPC

Standard Project Committee 152, Method of Test for Determining the Design and Seasonal Efficiencies of Residential Thermal Distribution Systems, is looking for new members who represent the general and user interest categories.

ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 152 prescribes a method of test to determine the efficiency of space heating and/or cooling thermal distribution systems under seasonal and design conditions. The objective is to facilitate annual energy calculations and heating and cooling equipment capacity calculations.

The standard applies to single-family detached and attached residences with independent thermal systems as well as air, hydronic, refrigerant and electric distribution systems.
