Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

Empower Signs Gold Sponsorship Agreement with ASHRAE’s Region-at-Large

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, also known as Empower, signed a two-year gold sponsorship agreement with ASHRAE’s Region-at-Large to support energy-efficient cooling solutions in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Turkey.  

Through this sponsorship, Empower seeks to help further the Region-at-Large’s activities to support energy-efficient cooling solutions and the UAE’s efforts to support district cooling.

Empower CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar and ASHRAE Region-at-Large Director and Regional Chair Ahmed Alaa Eldin, Ph.D., Member ASHRAE, signed the agreement. The agreement is an affirmation of strengthening the ongoing cooperation between Empower and ASHRAE Region-At-Large in district cooling, according to Bin Shafar.

During the ceremony, Bin Shafar stressed the importance for supporting ASHRAE’s Region-At-Large’s global efforts through several future agreements between the two organizations.
