Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

Montreal:ASHRAE President Bjarne W. Olesen, Ph.D.., Fellow/Life Member ASHRAE accepts the prestigious Partnership Award from UN Environment’s Ozone Secretariat for ASHRAE’s extraordinary commitment and contribution to the progress and achievements of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
Dublin: Olesen visited the Emerald Isle in October to officially inaugurate the ASHRAE Ireland Chapter, which is part of the new Region XIV. During the visit, Olesen also met with ASHRAE students members who are part of three new ASHRAE student branches in Ireland. In October, Tom Watson, Presidential Member/Fellow/Life Member ASHRAE, met with students at the Cork Institute of Technology and inaugurated another ASHRAE student branch.
Delhi, India: Olesen attended ASHRAE’s Second Developing Economies Conference in November. From addressing issues about urbanization to refrigerant phasedown, the conference brought together experts from all over the world with attendees representing 32 countries.
