Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 55-2017, Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy

The following is under a 45-day public review from December 20 to February 3: 

1st Public Review of BSR/ASHRAE Addendum d:

This proposed addendum removes the Graphical Comfort Zone Method (Section 5.3.1) from the Standard and replaces it with example graphics using the Analytical Comfort Zone Method (Section 5.3.2) and the Elevated Air Speed Comfort Zone Method (Section 5.3.3). All references to the “graphical method” have been removed and section headings updated. 


BSR/ASHRAE Standard 164.4-201x, Methods of Test for Commercial and Industrial Adiabatic Humidifiers

ASHRAE Standard 164.4-201x establishes a uniform method of laboratory performance testing of commercial and industrial adiabatic humidifiers.
