Artificial intelligence (AI) policy: ASHRAE prohibits the entry of content from any ASHRAE publication or related ASHRAE intellectual property (IP) into any AI tool, including but not limited to ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivative works of ASHRAE IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ASHRAE.

ASHRAE Regional Conference in Athens

The annual conference for ASHRAE's European Region (CRC) will be in Athens, Greece, September 26 – 29. Included are 8 in-depth HVAC&R trainings, 2-day technical conference, companion technical and workshop program, and Business Meetings at which ASHRAE's activities in Europe and globally are charted.

Eight training sessions will take place during the conference in parallel tracks instructed by experts from US and Europe, as well as several technical presentations. Individual sessions on:

  • PCM Energy Storage Tanks
  • International Green Construction Code and ASHRAE 189.1
  • Buildings, Cities, and IoT
  • Sustainability beyond Energy Efficiency
  • Healthy Buildings - WELL Certification
  • Implementing the Commissioning Process
  • Fire and Smoke Control
  • New Pump Technology

Two international conferences will be held in conjunction with the CRC. The eighth consecutive "Energy in Buildings" International Conference brings together Engineers, Architects, Stakeholders, Academia and other Built Environment Professionals. It is held in parallel with the fourth International Conference "Energy in Transportation" covering environmental considerations for Marine, Aviation and Land transportation.

Another program element will be ten workshops and technical presentations occur over a three-day period. Among topics are advanced technology implications such as Nano-Materials for Thermal Storage Applications and overviews of important European Commission projects such as Horizon Europe, the Commission's ambitious €100 billion research and innovation program.

ASHRAE CRCs lets members network for their professional development while influencing ASHRAE programs. Chapter representatives decide ASHRAE policies at business meetings open to all members. Eight workshops instruct chapter volunteers on how to have successful chapter activities. A social program with Greek flair completes the networking opportunities.
