Bassam Elassaad is a consultant in the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) sector focusing on environmental and regulatory issues and working with the United Nations (UN) implementing agencies of the Montreal Protocol. He is a member of UN Environment “Refrigeration Technical Options Committee” (RTOC) and a member of the UN “Technology and Economic Assessment Panel” (TEAP) Task Forces on refrigerant alternatives and energy efficiency. Mr. Elassaad is a Professional Engineer by the Canadian Professional Engineers of Ontario, a past Chapter President and Sub-Regional Chair of ASHRAE, and a member of the Royal Belgian Engineers Society (ATIC).
