HVAC Design Level I Earns UK’s CPD Certification

From European Update, Winter 2020

ASHRAE’s HVAC Design Level I Essentials course has been certified by the UK’s CPD Certification Service. This entitles course attendees to earn CPD hours that are likely required for professional bodies operating in the UK and many other countries. As a first step, ASHRAE earned recognition as a CPD Certification Service member after a review of its educational programming.

The CPD Certification Service was established in 1996 as the UK’s leading independent CPD accreditation institution operating across industry sectors to complement the Continuing Professional Development policies of professional institutes and academic bodies. Such recognition and certification of a specific course confirms that ASHRAE courses are in line with the standards and benchmarks outlined by The CPD Standards Office to ensure integrity and quality. ASHRAE is now listed in the CPD member directory.

CPD accreditation ensures the standards across the business are high and consistent; Keep employees’ skills and knowledge up to date; Builds employee confidence and credibility; Promotes greater staff engagement and work commitment; and Allows for the sharing of best practice and support.

CPD has advised ASHRAE that it recognizes that HVAC Design Level I Essentials has learning value and its structure conforms to CPD guidelines, authorizing ASHRAE to display the CPD ‘certified’ logo on all material relating to the course.

ASHRAE will submit other courses for CPD certification in the coming months, as they are scheduled.
