Travelers to Toronto/Canada need to download and complete vaccination information via the ArriveCAN App.
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to upload their proof of vaccination, submit their contact information and travel details, and complete a COVID-19 "self-assessment" a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. The information must be submitted digitally through the ArriveCAN app.

Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate in English, French, or with a certified translation. The certificate must be uploaded digitally into the ArriveCAN app and must contain all details required.
Fully vaccinated travelers must have received a full course of vaccination with an accepted vaccine. The accepted 2 dose vaccines are:
- AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD (ChAdOx1-S, Vaxzevria, AZD1222);
- Bharat Biotech (Covaxin, BBV152 A, B, C);
- Medicago Covifenz;
- Moderna (mRNA-1273);
- Novavax (NVX-COV2373, Nuvaxovid, Covovax);
- Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty, tozinameran, BNT162b2);
- Sinopharm BIBP (BBIBP-CorV);
- Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc).
The accepted 1 dose vaccine is:
- Janssen/Johnson & Johnson
Travelers that have received a combination of 2 accepted vaccines are considered fully vaccinated. Travelers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before arrival.
Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 are still required to have a full course of one of the approved vaccines to be considered fully vaccinated. |

Toronto Pearson Airport, Canada’s busiest airport, recently announced that departing and arriving passengers should expect delays due to a sharp increase in travelers as COVID-19 travel restrictions have been eased, while many of the Government of Canada’s health screening measures are still in place.
Some international passengers are experiencing longer than expected wait times upon arrival. This is due in part to longer processing times at the border. Prior to the pandemic, it took an average of 15-30 seconds for a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer to clear an international arriving passenger. Due to the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 health screening questions, this has increased the processing time at Canada’s borders by two to four times.
