I believe the sustainable discussion and impetus is about value. And, what's valuable in life? Life itself. Next, is the ability to sustain life, and ways to enhance life, and so on. I call these items the value rings, with life as the bull's-eye. And yet, our buildings as we've made them for the past century have contributed to problems with our continued ability to sustain life: poor air quality, global warming, water contamination and elimination of precious limited resources.
